As part of our Ramadhan give-back program, FOCI CARE hosted a heartwarming movie day for the community, inviting around 180 children and caregivers from two Islamic orphanages — Yayasan Rahmatan Lil Alamin & Yayasan Andalusia. We spent two joyful hours together watching Mufasa: The Lion King—a story rich with themes of courage, love, and family.
One touching moment came when a representative from one of the orphanages shared a beautiful reminder: “Family isn’t always about blood. Sometimes, it’s the people who show up and support us that become our true family.”
This powerful message resonated deeply, reminding us all of the importance of compassion, kindness, and connection.
At the end of the day, everyone brought home goodie bags, dinner, and essential groceries for each orphanage. It was a meaningful way to celebrate the spirit of Idul Fitri—by giving, sharing, and spreading joy together.
